In God We Trust...? | Priority Week 2
It’s 2023. A new year means new possibilities, right? But what happens when the dreams God has given us for our lives seem impossible? All too often, we allow our dreams to die because of the difficulties in our lives, but in the Kingdom of God, those things set the stage for an incredible ending. The life of Joseph in the book of Genesis is an inspiration to all of us because even when hope seems lost, God is a master at redeeming the dream.

Proverbs 3:9 NIV Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops;
“I would love to tithe, to give ten percent of what God trusts me with. But there is just not enough left over at the end of the month after I make all the payments and bills.”
“It broke again, and I don’t have the money to fix it, and I’m freakin out about it…so there just isn't enough left over after I spent everything on it.”
Malachi 3:7b-12 NIV Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty.' “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23 NIV But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
