Come Back Stronger | Week 4

“Back to normal.” We’ve all said those words countless times over the last few weeks - but what if God has something more than “normal” for our church? The New Testament tells the story of the early Church and some of its defining characteristics. Despite setbacks - both spiritual and physical - the church was able to thrive and grow. What if this could be true of your family, your marriage, even our church, today? What if challenges and setbacks didn’t allow us to come back “normal”, but come back stronger? Join us (in-person and online) for our brand new teaching series, Come Back Stronger.

Passages:

Acts 17:16-18 NIV While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols. So he reasoned in the synagogue with both Jews and God- fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there. A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to debate with him. Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others remarked, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.

Acts 17:22-23 NLT So Paul, standing before the council, addressed them as follows: “Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious in every way, for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about.
